Jack McGuire Centre
Jack McGuire Centre is a residential open custody and detention facility operated by W.W. Creighton Youth Services for young people between the ages of 12 and 17 who are in conflict with the law. The school program is a mandatory one, providing the education needed for up to seven students.
Upon arrival at McGuire Centre, students are tested to determine their current academic standing. An individualized academic plan is developed which best meets the needs and abilities of the student. The varied curriculum, flexible program, and low teacher-student ratio provides students the optimal opportunity for academic success. An educational report is provided monthly to the youth's Plan of Care, as well as reported in their Ontario School Record (OSR).
