Bells rings at 9:05 to start the day.
First nutrition break is from 10:45 to 11:25
Second nutrition break is from 1:05 to 1:45
The end of the day is at 3:25.

  • Event Dates:

    Progress Reports
    As a result of OECTA Elementary job sanctions, the due date for Progress Reports to go home has been extended to Friday, November 18th  for the same reason, Parent Teacher Interviews scheduled for November 16-17 have been postponed. 
     

    Date change: Anti Bullying Week is November 22nd- 25th.
    St. Pius X School is taking a Positive approach to Anti-Bullying. We are calling it Pro Friendship Week. We are teaching the students about being RESILIENT, EMPATHETIC, COMPASSIONATE and KIND.  We are going to celebrate Random Acts of Friendship.  Parent Council and our Safe and Accepting Schools Team will be developing activities for the week. Stay tuned!

    PRO-FRIENDSHIP WEEK: Activities
    November 22 - 25
    Along with daily classroom activities, the following events will take place among the student body.
    Tuesday 22nd: Cyber bully presentation (postponed)
    Wednesday 23rd:  Wacky Sock Day. Everyone in the school is encouraged to wear different colour socks. The activity promotes uniqueness, individuality, and acceptance within the school. The different colours, designs, and lengths show that students are all different, but are all here for the same purpose, to be ourselves in an inclusive and welcoming environment. 
    Thursday 24th: Persian Day, Persians will be sold for $1.00 at the office during second nutrition break.
    Friday 25th: Dress down day, students are encouraged to wear the color blue.

    Upward Bound Program 
    We will be offering the Homework Program for students grades 4 to 6 that require a little extra help. Mrs. Michelle Elliot will be teaching the program in the school library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35 to 5:05. The program will run from Nov. 8th to Dec 1st, /  Jan 10 to Mar 9 / Mar. 28 to May 11th. Please print and complete the attached form and return to the school or contact Ms. Demers at 767-3061 to request a copy.

    The Dressing Room Project
    On November 18th the grade 6 female students in Mrs. Heino and Mrs. Scharf's  classes will be participating in a 90 minute workshop presented by the T. Bay District Health Unit. The workshop is focused on exploring how images in the media impact how we view ourselves and others.
