This link has been provided to assist students in preparing for the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.

Reading and Writing Achievement Program
The RWA, (Reading and Writing Achievement Program) is designed to promote student success on the Grade 10 Test of Reading and Writing Skills (O.S.S.L.T.). Tutorials and practice activities are accompanied by immediate feedback and complimented by self-assessment instruments. We strongly recommend that our students work through this program to help prepare for the O.S.S.L.T.

The Reading section focuses on skills and strategies that students required to access informal, graphical and literary texts.

The Writing section focuses on composition and proofreading of news reports, informational paragraphs, summaries, opinion pieces, spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure. Several student samples are included for peer assessment.
